Description of Associated Architecture
- This is the most complete Creole plantation in the South, with 17 of its
original outbuildings still remaining. The plantation house was probably constructed
by slaves in 1818 and exemplifies early construction methods and the use of
such materials as hand-hewn timbers and bousillage fill.
